Did you know that a bat can eat up to 3,000 insects in a single night and that the common pipistrelle bat weighs less than a £1 coin?
There are 17 bat species in the UK and a number of these, such as the common and soprano pipistrelle, long eared, daubenton and the rare lesser horseshoe bats, are all present in and around the Llanberis area of Gwynedd. Flintshire County Council Trading Standards Service is warning the public not to let their guard down during the credit crunch, by falling victim to a home working scam.
A number of leaflets have recently been put through doors in Flintshire that offer the chance of home working. These leaflets give no indication of who is offering this work, just a 24 hour phone number to a recorded answering service and a web address that gives you the opportunity to give your details but gives no information as to who you are giving the information to. |
